I Built the Field for Myself, First.
Let me be transparent with you about something. The Field for Human Communication™ wasn't born from a business plan or a market analysis.
It was born from a reckoning. A moment (or more accurately, a long season) when I looked at the work I was doing, the systems I was operating inside, and the version of myself I was presenting to all of it, and thought: this is not actually me anymore.
I had the credentials. The background. The track record. I could communicate with ease on behalf of other people's brands, other people's visions, other people's missions. I could walk into rooms and know immediately what was needed and how to respond to those needs.
And I was exhausted in a way that had nothing to do with the workload. I think you might know that kind of exhaustion. The kind that doesn't come from doing too much. It comes from doing it in ways that don't quite fit who you actually are now.
So, I built The Field. For myself, first. And for you, next.
I built it because I needed a place where I could show up wholly and fully…the writer, the teacher, the feminine leader, the creator, the helper, the coach, the guide.
Not one professionally acceptable version of myself, curated for the room I was walking into. All of it. The whole, complicated, alive, knowing self.
I built it because I believe in fields. Literal ones. The way a field is a patient place — it doesn't demand that things grow faster than they're meant to. You plant. You tend. You wait. You harvest. And then the extraordinary thing happens: you get to begin again. The same field, a new season. As many times as you need it.
For as long as you're alive, you have that. That's what I wanted. Not a program or a framework or a certification or yet another system (gawd, no!). A place to begin again, as many times as it takes, in the company of others who are invested in doing the same.
Maybe you've been leading in a system that wasn't designed for the way you lead.
Maybe you're brilliant and capable and you've been translating yourself into something slightly more palatable for so long that you've started to lose track of where the translation ends and you begin.
Maybe you're exhausted not by the work but by the performance. The careful calibration of how much of yourself to bring into which room. The monitoring. The managing down of your own intelligence, your intuition, your relational awareness, your true voice — all the things you know are your actual gifts, because the system told you they were liabilities.
I know that exhaustion. It lived in me for a long time, too. And I built The Field because I needed somewhere it didn't have to. And where I could invite you to come BE, too.
The Field is a safe place to grow. To cultivate what's true in you. To harvest what's ready. And to begin again, with more knowledge, more trust, more of yourself than you had the season before.
You come here to feel safe, and seen, and heard, and known. Not as the role you hold or the problem you're solving or the version of yourself that fits the meeting agenda. As you, the whole of you, with all your knowing intact. With your fullest expression ready to put forward.
And you come here to practice. To try out what you want to become. To feel what it's like to lead from your actual values. To communicate from who you actually are, instead of from who you've learned to perform.
Because the world…your workplace, your family, your community…doesn't need a more polished version of you.
It needs the real one.
There are three questions I come back to, for myself and for everyone I work with. They're not complicated. They're just clear. And in my experience, they're the beginning of everything.
→ How do I want to feel about myself?
→ How do I want others to experience me?
→ How do I want to make a positive impact — in my life, my family, my community, my workplace, my world?
Sit with those. Not for two minutes. Sit with them for a week. Write about them. Take them on a walk in the woods. Let these questions land in you earnestly, thoughtfully, and intentionally. Let them guide you and your next steps toward naming what you need and want most. Focus in on that feeling.
If you feel stirred up, that's the signal. That's The Field calling.
